James and Son have recently moved away from using third party companies to operate its transport requirements.

In August 2006 James and son decided to form its own in-house logistics company. The logistics business operates from its Stowmarket base and now controls 80% of the total James and Son feed products.

We operate 20 vehicles and 30 bulk trailers, a number of which are in James and Son livery.

The main reason behind the formation of Transport Logistics was to bring control back into the business to ensure that we can offer our customers the service levels that are needed in a fast moving market.

By operating our in-house transport system we can communicate quickly to locate loads and delivery times.

We will form a very important part of our on-farm service with the latest equipment and a highly motivated team.
